Welp I finally found someone in the UK who can supply me with frozen foxes when I need them. £40 a fox (£20 is the next day delivery postage) so it isn't cheap but I thought I may as well treat myself. My boyfriend has bought me the tanning kit and is getting me a form for my birthday so hopefully I'll finally get to mount up a lifesize fox! It's a vixen and she'll be here Friday, the guy is a pest controller.

Got a jar of alcohol that is now home to a shrew and a baby mouse :3 The shrew I got ages ago when a kitty left it on our drive. It's a shame to put it in the alcohol because it's so soft but realistically I can't do anything else with it, it's too small for me to skin properly. The baby mouse I found in a box of water in the garden. My younger sister's old hamster cage was behind this box still with sawdust in so I guess that's where it wanted to go? I don't know. but it fell in the water and drowned sadly. Another also did the same a few days later but this is an older mouse and lives in the freezer for now. So yep, I'll upload photos of

I took the jackal out of the tanning bath today, and there doesn't seem to be any slippage or loose fur anyway (even the ears :D) so yay! She's drying right now, and I'm probably going to have to take the cartlidge out of the ears and nose at some point but I want to check everything's okay before I do that. It took me about 20 minutes to invert the ears and head though, since they were inside out. I didn't want to be too rough but it was so frustrating; such a tiny neck hole to pull the huge ears and head through! But it's a beautiful pelt and I'm really pleased so far :)
